Chapter 11 - Jake

In the cold light of morning, Jake realized what had happened. After making love in the shower, and dressing just in time before Sally awoke, he and Melody had been forced to play the part of employer and nanny once more. And to her credit, Melody played her part perfectly.

But almost the second they had taken Sally to bed that night, after she had insisted Melody needed to read her 'Goodnight Moon,' they had been right back at it again.

Not once, not twice, but three times in his bed, the pleasure more and more intense every time.

And when he woke the next morning, he rolled over to find the other side of the bed empty and cold. He scoffed as soon as he realized, knowing he had been given a taste of his own medicine.

Disappointment and an odd sense of stinging in his heart made him reach out and stroke down the cold side of the bed.

"What are you doing to me?" he huffed. He hadn't felt this way in such a long time, perhaps ever. And though he knew it was wrong, it felt so damn right. Just being inside Melody had left him unable to think about anything else. Even the pain in his back had gone completely numb for a while.

As he forced himself from his bed, he found it was nowhere near as sore as before. Whether that was his werewolf healing or Melody's magic pussy, he wasn't sure. But either way, he was glad to be able to wash, dress and head downstairs to make breakfast without being too sore.

One glance in Sally's bedroom on his way down told him she was beginning to rouse, and it wouldn't be long before the little growing wolf was demanding food.

In an attempt to distract himself, he headed to the kitchen and began to make Sally's favorite chocolate chip pancakes. Though he had never quite understood how a werewolf could prefer them over bloody bacon and eggs, he was well aware that Sally's tastes would change as she grew into her beast. For now, he was content to let her be a kid, especially after all that had happened of late.

And though he knew she would be upset to learn that Melody wouldn't be looking after her today, Jake finished up the pancakes and grabbed his phone to call one of the other pack she-wolves. He highly doubted Melody was going to show her face after all that had happened. Besides, he wasn't sure it would be a good idea, anyway. Not with the fact he could no longer keep his hands off her.

Kai's threat had only aided in making him realize just how attracted he was to her, how much he felt the need to possess and protect her.

Perhaps he should have thought about all of that before he went and made his life even more complicated. With a sigh, he flicked through his contact list, hearing Sally stomping about above him as she got dressed.
